About Us

Adventure Manapouri & Guided Trout Fishing

Hi, i have been providing Guided Fishing in Fiordland for about 30 years now. In the beginning I provided guided fishing alongside farming which made for a wonderful lifestye.

When the 2nd tail race was added to the Manapouri power station at West Arm, extra water taxi services were required on Lake Manapouri to transport goods and passengers across the lake on demand.

These days I still have a small hobby farm next to the river, which is ideal to raise a few sheep, hens, turkeys and I can have a fish while checking the stock!

With my partner Donna, we now just run a water taxi across the river at Pearl Harbour, Manapouri to the Manapouri Track. This track is still little known and provides a great opportunity for walkers to enjoy tramping in a quiet area 'off the beaton track" in the National Park.

With living in such a prisitne environment it seemed only natural to be able to assist with any Real Estate needs in the area which Donna has been enjoying doing as well.

Fiordland is a unique area to live, it provides us with an amazing lifestyle where we can work and play at the same time.

When making plans to come to this area, don't rush. It's an amazing environment to experience, with a choice of staying at Manapouri for the ultimate in peace & tranquillity or Te Anau with a few more services 20km's away, so there are a variety of choices for experiencing this area.

With our love of Fiordland, and our enjoyment at meeting visitors to the region, it is our pleasure to welcome & share our knowlege of this region with you.

Look forward to seeing you soon, regards Mike & Donna
